Some of you may remember the images of MaryJoy from MJ interiors back in October. Well we were fortunate enough to create images for a couple of MaryJoys partners. Naperville Chicago Photography Studio…Grand Opening Success!

I know that this post is so belated! I’m not sure what we were thinking by having a grand opening during our busiest season! I’ve been dying to get some of these pictures posted from Friday nights grand opening but have been inundated with sessions. So…it’s about time for me to thank each and every one of you for coming to celebrate our opening. We had well over 80 people stop by during the evening!! I was completely taken aback by all of the wonderful friends, family and photography families that stopped in and celebrated with us. You know that I love you all!! I wish I had more pictures to share but of all things this photographer forgot to take pictures . I was so caught up with friends and wonderful conversation that it completely slipped my mind to take some photos of the event. Thankfully my sweet daughter picked up the camera and snapped a few images of the evening (please excuse the fact that most of the pictures are of her and her friends ). Nonetheless, it was so thoughtful of her to pick up where I obviously had failed. Love you darlin!!!

I do have to give a standing O to Kris Warren and her uber talented daughter Tory of KWarren Designs for their amazing catering skills. Everyone is still talking about their culinary delights . If you need floral arrangements for the holidays or for a special event he is your man.

Naperville Chicago Professional Photographer…Studio is Open!!

Chicago Women’s Photographer…You are beautiful

Today’s blog post features photos of a few of the beautiful woman that I’ve photographed over the years. These are pretty rare photos because I’ve found often times women do not like to be photographed at all. So many times women have taken on the roll of their families “personal photographer” and are behind the camera taking pictures of their family or events. So much so that they prefer to be “behind the scenes” invisible to the world. Every woman seems to have their reasons. Whether it be “I’m not dressed to be photographed today.”, “My hair looks awful!” or “I have to lose some weight first.” (This personally is my excuse every time).We typically overlook the fact that there will be no documentation of us during this time in our lives. I realized this when I was looking for a photo of myself for this blog. I searched high and low for a photograph of myself and am embarrassed to say that the most recent photo of me alone was from 8 years ago. Of course there are a few pictures of me talking or holding a glass of wine at a party but I certainly didn’t have a photo of myself that I could be proud of. So I finally decided to get that camera out and just do it! I urge each and every one of you to get your camera out and take a self portrait or have your significant other take some pictures of you this weekend. It’s your time to shine! You’re beautiful!

Naperville Photographer…Daily Method Window Art

This is so exciting!! The Dailey Method pictures are up and in their front windows. They look awesome! I feel so honored that these women chose me to do their studio photos. I took a couple of snapshots of the outside of the building (definitely not my best photos )but I had to post the exterior of the building with the photos in the windows. Congratlations on your New Studio Dailey Method. It looks awesome!

Chicago Photographer…The Dailey Method

Today I was fortunate enough to do a fun shoot for the Dailey Method at 5th avenue station. They’re having their Grand re-opening soon and going to show off their new diggs. The space is amazing! If you haven’t been to the Dailey Method for one of their killer workouts you are definitely missing out. Take a look at these women and tell me that this workout doesn’t do a body good. They all look fabulous! I have to say it was a little discouraging taking pictures of rock hard abs and ripped arms when I was holding out hope that the “rubenesque” look was coming back into style. I guess it didn’t help that I was eating french fries while I was editing these pictures . Oh well, I guess it’s time for me to return to the Dailey Method and let these women whip my a*# back into shape . Why can’t french fries be a health food?
