Tomorrow we will be featured on Groupon offering a 1 hour session, a DVD slide show disc ( non-printable) and a 5×7 for $200 (value $455). The Groupon offer is for new clients only. If you are one of our longtime friends and regulars at Alicia’s Photography please don’t despair!! We will be offering this same offer to our favorite clients but you need to call the studio and purchase your special session through us. Please call Laura or myself at 630-961-5777. Over 100,000 businesses were identified as Favorite Places on google, representing less than 1% of the 28 million U.S. businesses. Alicia’s Portraiture is thrilled to receive a window decal announcing that our site is one of googles favorite places!! Google identified a small percentage of businesses in the U.S. as “Favorite Places on Google” based on Google users’ interaction with local business listings. Each business has received a window decal with a unique QR code that you scan with your phone to read reviews, star the business as your own favorite and more. We’re looking so forward to putting this decal in our new store front window. Yes! You read that correctly, there is a new studio in our very near future. Stay tuned for more exciting news! I just found this blog entry at the very talented Jesica Wernes Blogsite. She is the owner of Dew Drop Photography in New Jersey. Even though it says Fall 2009 I thought that it could come in very useful when selecting your clothing for your spring sessions. Thanks Jessica!

“The truth is–I hate to give too much direction regarding what to wear for your session because each of my clients has their own unique style.”

“However, there are some general rules you should follow. For adults, make sure that your clothing is comfortable and that you wouldn’t be worried to sit on grass or on some outside steps. Now that cooler weather is here, dress in layers. Think about beautiful sweaters or coats that make a statement as well as fun scarves and hats (particularly for the little ones). Here are some visuals to get you thinking in the right direction:”
