Naperville Senior Photographer…Time Flies By

This senior session is a special one to me. I’m thrilled to give you a sneak peek of “E”. “E” is the oldest child of one of my dearest friends and neighbor. So of course taking his senior pictures was a given. I will say that I didn’t expect the flood of emotions that I was going to have when I did this session. Everything was going along fine until I put my viewfinder up to my eye. I swear sometimes the things that I see inside that camera are magical. As soon as I looked through the camera at “E”, he turned 4 years old again to me and of course I started to tear up. I could see him running around the neighborhood with all of the other kids, learning how to ride his bike across the street and building snowmen at Little Friends. I just can’t believe how fast time is speeding by. All of our babies are growing up. How could that be…that just wasn’t in my plan.

Naperville Chicago Professional Photographer…Studio is Open!!

Today we finally opened up the studio to the public! What a great relief and such an exciting time for us. I have to make this a short post because it’s off to the school open house for my son (no rest for the weary) but I wanted to share some pics from the new place. Chicago Naperville Childrens Photographer…Studio Opening

I’m so excited to announce that we will be officially opening the new studio tomorrow September 2nd!! Only one day behind schedule . Not bad considering all of the set backs that we’ve had. There will still be things that need to get finished but we certainly think that it’s ready for opening. I will try and take pictures of the space so that I can post them tomorrow. I want to thank everyone for their support and patience through this process! I will now be able to get caught up on my sneak peeks and editing. I am going to try to post a sneak peek a day so that I am all caught up. That means 9 days of posting in a row! Can it be done???

Here is a sneak peek from a fun session from a week ago. I have been doing photo sessions with these little ones for years now and am just amazed at how much they have grown. These little cuties are cousins and it’s always a joy to see them and get together with their Grandma and Moms. I’m good friends with “E” (one of the moms) and I get so excited when she comes into town from Arizona. Can’t wait to plan a spa trip with the girls “E” !

Naperville Chicago Photography Studio…New Studio

My sweet little friend Lola and her mom and dad gave me this incredible key chain for my bday. The date inscribed is the date that we will be opening our new studio (soft opening) and the saying is my slogan. So meaningful and thoughtful! I love these guys so much! Things are running a bit behind with the studio opening but we are still plugging along. I’m so excited to announce the opening and can’t wait to post pictures of our new digs. It’s looking beautiful!!! Better than I ever expected thanks to my wonderful husband. He has been working so hard to keep us on schedule. Even with our son being in the hospital and all he has done a great job. Thanks honey for having faith and persistance!! You’re the best and I love you ! Stay tuned for the big opening.

Naperville Chicago Senior Photographer…Thank You

Before I discuss my newest senior post, I want to thank everybody for their thoughts and prayers for my son. As most of you know my oldest son was severely injured in football practice last week. He was hit in the stomach during a play and he ruptured his spleen. After 4 days in the ICU and 1 day in peds they were able to stop the bleeding and he is finally home and doing much better. He has been put on 2 weeks of bed rest and is not happy about missing the first weeks of school but all in all I feel very blessed and am thrilled with the outcome. He was able to keep his spleen because of his wonderful doctors and nurses. I can’t say enough kind words about all of them. I truly feel that every one of your prayers and well wishes combined with skilled doctors and nurses is what helped him recover as quickly as he did. So let me please tell you again how grateful I am for each and every one of you!

Now on to “D’s” senior pictures. This was such a fun shoot and she was up for anything. We looked for color and boy did we find it in the most unusual places. I won’t even tell you where becuase I don’t want to ruin it for you. I really love that ”D’s” sister came along to be her “helper”. This says alot about their relationship. You both better treasure your relationship you two and I certainly expect to see you “D” at “A’s” senior seesion when it comes her turn :). Enjoy your sneak peek!

Naperville Chicago Senior Photographer…Mosquito Attack

I have to give this beautiful senior 100% credit for being the biggest trooper ever. “L” put up with the worst mosquito attack that I’ve ever seen. I’ve been a professional photographer for 15 years now and I’ve never seen anything like this. This has been the worst summer ever with these pesky little buggers. I actually had to artwork them off of her in the pictures. Crazy humid summer! On the bright side, it was well worth the annoyance because we have some gorgeous pictures for you “L”. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. By the way, I hope to see an invitation to that wedding .

OMG! Could these twins be any more adorable? I had so much fun taking pictures of “K” and “A” in their bright red outfits with those amazing blue eyes. I just loved the watermelon dress and hat. “A” looked absolutely edible in them :). And I had a great time discussing Star Wars with “K”.
