Naperville Teen/Senior Photographer…Mother Daughter Time

As my kids get older I’m constantly looking for things for us to do together. Just a little bonding time. Of course it’s easy with my 10 year old because he loves being with me and is willing to try just about anything. My 2 teenagers on the other hand are a little more difficult to please. Doing anything with their mother is just lame (Unless of course I’m spending money on them). I love spending time with them but finding an activity that isn’t torturous for them isn’t always easy. I was so thrilled when my Freshman daughter signed up for Photography classes in high school. It’s so much fun to teach someone your passion especially someone you love. So yesterday was our first photo shoot together and Wow we had fun!! My daughter and her BFF stylized the whole shoot themselves and I selected the location. The girls did a great job and were so creative. I wish that I was my daughters teacher because an A+ would be handed out for creativity and effort. Here are some of the pictures that I took with them. My daughter has to shoot film so we won’t see her results until next week. I can’t wait!!

I had to share these sweet photos of someone very special to me. I love the shabby chic feeling and especially the sweet little bundle in the photo. Isn’t she just precious! She’s the new love in my life. Her Mom and Dad are the sweetest people and are kind enought to share their sweet little Lola with me. I’m able to get my baby fix without having another baby myself . She’s also a great little subject!

I was feeling a little nostalgic today and was dreaming about summer. I miss the long summer days already and it’s only November! This dark at 4:00 thing is already getting old. So, I thought that I would post a fun summer shoot of a couple of my favorite girls. These little sweeties are daughters of a friend of mine and they are always a lot of fun to photograph. “E” is soft spoken, gentle and sweet and “A” is spunky, wild and a bundle of sass! They make the perfect pair. You can tell by these photos that they just love life and being together! Thanks for the great summer memories girls!!

Chicago North Shore Children’s Photographer…Little “B”

It was such a pleasure to meet this sweet little guy! I have known his Dad for over a year now but had never met his wife and son. Little “B’s” Daddy is the owner of the printing company that prints our Marmalade Ink cards. They do such a wonderful job helping us produce the best quality cards on the market. It was an honor to be able to give him a little something back! Little “B” was kind enough to bring his Mom along for the ride so I was blessed to meet the whole family. We hit it off! It was like we had known each other forever. I have to say that I consider little “B” to be my official buddy now. Thanks little “B” for making this such a fun and easy session!
